Crystal Beach,
Bolivar Peninsula
July 8-14, 2005

The Sherwood, Jacobson, & Turner families shared a beachfront vacation house in Crystal Beach on the Bolivar Peninsula. The kids found a tiny shark, maybe a foot long, dead on the beach the first day. None of us ever saw anything larger, except for a couple of porpoises. After returning home we heard reports there had been a shark attack near Point Bolivar, not too far from us.

The waves were typically brown, and the seaweed was the worst it's been in 20 years. Any clear blue water in these pictures is courtesy of Photoshop. But it was a relaxing vacation nonetheless.
